Overview

The Government of India (GoI) is developing various Industrial Corridor projects as part of the National Industrial Corridor programme which is aimed at development of futuristic industrial cities in India which can compete with the best manufacturing and investment destinations in the world by unleashing the manufacturing potential, raising its contribution to India’s GDP thereby achieving accelerated development, inclusive growth and gainful employment. The Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) project is one among the several industrial corridors promoted by GoI.IMC Khurpia which is a part of AKIC has an area of 1002 acres that has been demarcated for the development of an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Udham Singh Nagar District in the state of Uttarakhand. A Special Planning Vehicle (SPV) named NICDC Uttarakhand Industrial Township Limited (NUITL) is now engaged in the development of IMC Khurpia.
